Blake Lively and Chloe Grace Moretz in Hick

This coming of age story centers on 13-year-old Luli McMullen, who runs away from her ramshackle Nebraska home after being abandoned by her deadbeat parents and heads to Las Vegas. Along the way, she learns the truth about American rootlessness and discovers both the power and peril of her own sexual curiosity. Luli crosses paths with Eddie, an unstable rebel with questionable motives and Glenda, a cocaine snorting drifter on the run. Adapted from the critically acclaimed novel by Andrea Portes, this powerful story pulls you into provocative world of drugs, seduction, and murder.

The film stars Chloe Moretz ("Hugo", "Dark Shadows"), who encounters a seedy cast of characters – a sociopathic cowboy drifter played by Eddie Redmayne ("My Week with Marilyn") and a surrogate mother of sorts played by Blake Lively ("The Town", "Green Lantern"), a cocaine-snorting drifter.

The film is based on Andrea Portes' novel by the same name about the hard life of an abandoned 13-year-old Nebraska girl as she hitchhikes to Las Vegas. Portes wrote and served as executive producer for the film.

What is Ultraviolet?

It used to be that when you bought a DVD movie, your only choice was to watch it on a DVD compatible player. But now, you've got a lot of viewing choices and that's because of Ultraviolet, an online library built and operated by an alliance of leading entertainment companies, retailers, cable and satellite TV providers and electronics manufacturers.

Ultraviolet works by storing digital proofs of purchase for every Ultraviolet TV or movie show you buy.  This allows ultraviolet retailers and streaming providers to deliver your titles to the types of devices and apps you want to use. As long as your purchase has the Ultraviolet logo, it will be free to add it to your Ultraviolet library. When you shop online, just add it as part of your check-out. And for Blu-ray discs or DVDs, simply follow the in-package instructions and you're ready to go.

With Ultraviolet, how you watch will be your choice. You can stream you movies and tv shows wherever you have an internet connection or you can download any title in your library for off-line viewing. You can even make a disc copy for added flexibility. Up to 5 other members of your household can build and enjoy your ultraviolet library, can shop where you want, and watch where you choose. Each family member can have customized views so they see only the titles they want. Parental control features limits the titles that kids can watch.

Everything sounds good here except the name.

End of Watch Trailer

Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Peña play two LAPD officers Taylor and Zavala as they patrol the city's meanest streets of south central Los Angeles. In the film the two officers make a bust and consequently found themselves in big trouble with the cartels.

Jake spent five months training with the cops and riding along patrols. In the end, he got so good at it that real police officers didn't realize he was an actor and not one of them.

Written and directed by David Ayer, whose research into the Los Angeles Police Department led to his most prominent screenplay, Training Day. Ayer also collaborated on the screenplay for The Fast and the Furious, wrote the screenplay for SWAT, and directed Harsh Times and Street Kings.

END OF WATCH opens in theaters September 28, 2012.

Dark Shadows: Meet the Residents

Barnabas is a rich and powerful playboy, and the master of Collinwood Manor. He falls in love with Josette DuPres and consequently breaks the heart of Angelique Bouchard. Angelique, being a vile and demonic with, curses Barnabas, turning him into a vampire. Two centuries later, Barnabas is inadvertently freed from his tomb and emerges into the very changed world of 1972. He returns to Collinwood Manor to find that his once-grand estate has fallen into ruin, with each member of the Collins family harboring their own dark secrets

Before Dark Shadows hits the theaters this 11th of May, here's a rundown of the characters you will get to know within the story.

Dashing, charismatic and undead, Barnabas Collins carries himself with the confidence and grandeur of royalty. But making sense of modern times isn't easy for the Victorian vampire, having just been freed from two centuries of entombment to find his family in ruin and his scorned lover, Angelique, still cursing his name.

Stoic in the face of a centuries-old family curse, Elizabeth is the elegant and formidable matriarch of the dysfunctional Collins family, and the only one Barnabas entrusts with the truth of his identity. She's determined that above all, their family will endure, and she is the picture of sophistication and strength even as their fortunes crumble around them.

Dr. Hoffman is the rather intense, often hungover live-in psychiatrist who has been treating young David Collins since his mother was tragically lost at sea. Brilliant but batshit, she's an expert on disorders of the body and mind...and things that mix with bourbon. Barnabas' rather odd and anachronistic behavior immediately raises the suspicions Dr. Hoffman, who has no idea what kind of problems she’s really digging up.

Angelique Bouchard is Collinsport's wealthiest, most powerful resident...and, unbeknownst to the townsfolk, a vile demonic witch. Ageless, sinister and positively obsessed with Barnabas, Angelique is driven by envy and rage to destroy all that he loves and make him suffer alone for eternity.

Elizabeth's rebellious 15 year old daughter Carolyn is having as much fun living on a remote, dilapidated Victorian estate as any teenager would. When she's not dreaming of running away to New York or antagonizing her cousin David, she's lamenting how no one understands what she's going through.

There's more to David's new nanny than meets the eye. The spitting image of Barnabas' long-lost love Josette, Vicky is undeterred by visitations from Josette's ghost and appears to be running from a dark secret that propels her mysterious connection with the Collins family.

Every wealthy family has one, and Elizabeth's brother Roger Collins is the resident greedy, ne'er-do-well playboy at Collinwood Manor. Roger has been adrift from his son David since the death of David's mother, becoming an increasingly unscrupulous, arrogant absentee dad.
A precocious and lonely 10 year old, David believes his dead mother communicates with him. His family dismisses his claims, but David finds a believer in his new governess, Vicky, and an ally in Barnabas, who assures him that being a Collins is far more important than being a bit mad.

Part chauffeur, part cook, part groundskeeper and frequent drinker, Willie is the last of Collinwood Manor's loyal servants to still answer the call. He's salty and unpretentious, a stark contrast to Barnabas' formality and flourish.
